RESTAURANT

The aim is to design a restaurant in a rough cold climate and a contoured site with 100 users capacity it is a tourist spot so the restaurant has to be aesthetically pleasing. The ramp in the front leads to the entrance to the restaurant so physically challenged people can also access it easily. A separate entry/exit has been provided for loading/unloading purposes in the kitchen. Since it is a cold climate area the vegetation for the food is difficult and expensive, so a greenhouse has been provided to solve the problem and the greenhouse wall is shared with a dining room wall so users can enjoy the food with a pleasant view. There is semi-outdoor dining provided covered with glass because at night time northern lights are visible giving a great view. Since it is a tourist spot people will attract easily.

Ground slopes over 25% are subjected to erosion and are difficult to build on. Ground slopes over 10% are challenging to use for outdoor activities and are more expensive to build on. Ground slopes front 5% to 10% are suitable for informal outdoor activities and can be bilt on without too much difficulty. Ground slopes up to 5% are usable for most outdoor activities and relatively easy to built on.

    The Restaurant is located in the contour region and it is designed in way to adapt the contour and the functionality of the restaurant. Once the user enters the restaurant they arrive at the entrance lobby where they can wait in case of the restaurant is fully occupied while they are waiting they can enjoy the view of the surrounding and also the view of the greenhouse which near to the restaurant. The kitchen is designed in way it is easy for loading and unloading as well as for the waiters to deliver the foods to the table. And from the dining, they arrive at dining where there are two dining areas one is indoor dining, and another one is semi-indoor dining which is covered in glass to enjoy the view of the northern lights which is unique view of the region. From the dining users can access the toilets and multi-purpose hall. The multi-purpose hall is for any functions and parties and the multi-purpose hall can also be accessible form the outside.
